I love old buildings. There is just something about the history that is etched into the sandstone. You can stand in a place where battles had been fought, men dying to protect those who reside inside the castle walls. If you listen close enough you can almost hear the whoosh of arrows and the clattering of a ram being banged into the gates.
With my husband as my chaperone, I travel around the U.K whenever we get the chance and visit historical buildings. To make the visits even more interesting we search for old graffiti carved into walls. It is in human nature to say I was here, I lived. So if you get the chance to walk down the hallways or climb stairs that have been standing tall through the years, keep an eye open for signs of the residents that walked there before you.
Here are some of our finds.
